Merry Christmas!

eDay- January 2nd

Jasper City Schools will be implementing an eDay January 2nd. Students will be given an eDay packet Thursday December 18th. You can access Edmodo to complete the eDay assignments from now until January 20th. We understand technical difficulties may arise and have provided a paper component as an alternative to complete the assignments.

       For  direct links to your eDay assingments, go to edmodo.com You can reach a direct link by visiting the Jasper City Schools technology page. Scroll down the page and you will see the Edmodo icon

I   IF YOU HAVE NOT JOINED MY EDMODO GROUP YOU MUST ENTER A CODE TO VIEW THE ASSIGNMENTS. The group code for our class is gpscw2. If you joined my Edmodo group the last eDay you should simply log in to Edmodo and view the assignments. 

Parents, please initial  the checklist provided. Return this checklist to by January 20^th. We know that technical difficulties may arise. If they do, please make a note next to that assignment. I have attached a list of sites in town that have internet access if needed. 

Assignments:

1.

IXL. Allow your child to log in to IXL and play our IXL Math game.  CHOOSE KINDERGARTEN. Their log in information is included at the bottom of this sheet, If you are unable to have internet access for this task please refer to the eDay packet and write down 8 things you counted with your child (ex. Count crayons, balls, spoons, toy cars, etc.) If your child plays IXL they do not have to do the counting activit.

Please complete the reading homework in the eDay packet. Encourage your child to sound out each word and blend the sounds together,

Handwriting. Have student complete the journal page in the eDay folder. “ I will go to school and have fun!” and draw a picture of doing something fun at school.

Color the coloring sheet in the eDay packet. Or go to www.starfall.com and play a game that supports our kindergarten reading skills.

eDay 10/13/3014!!

What a great start to our school year! Below you will find your child's eDay assignments. All due by 10/17! Parents- if you are using an iPad or iPhone to complete your eDay assignments you must download an app for the links to work. Go to the App Store and download Puffin Web Browser. It is a FREE app. Open this app and open up Edmodo to access eDay assignments.

1. Visit http://www.spellingcity/games/missing-letter.... Choose to play the missing letter "Color Words" list. This is a free game. Write the color words the game prompted you to spell on the paper provided in your eDay packet and return to the teacher. 

2. Complete the letter naming "speed drill" attached in your child's packet. Please note the amount of letters they named in 60 seconds on their eDay packet.

3. Partner read with your child using the pages provided in the packet. Encourage your child to sound out and blend words together. Practice, practice, practice!

4. Please complete the journal entry in your child's eDay packet and return to the teacher.

* Please sign and return all eDay packets by October 17th.

Heavenly Hat Day!!

Bring $1.00 to support Heavenly Hat Foubdation that provides hats to cancer patients. All money raised will be donated to this organization. If a student brings a hat they will be able to wear a hat all day! 

We made CBS 42!

CBS 42 visited West Jasper to see how much fun that we are having celebrating Read Across America and Dr.Seuss this week!!

Friday, February 14th!

eDay- February 17th

Students have an eDay packet that needs to be completed and turned in by Tuesday, February 18th. The eDay packet includes the information you need to log into Edmodo and complete the assignments. This is a requirement for all students! Each eDay assignment will be graded! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. If you have any technical problems with any of the websites for any of the eDay assignments the eDay packet provides you with an alternative.
