Summer is almost here!

We have had such a great year. This past week we celebrated by traveling to the Children's Hands on Museum in Tuscaloosa and had a GREAT time! 

This coming week Pre K-2nd grade will be celebrating the last full week of school by having a special "theme" each day.

Monday: Wear your favorite color

Tuesday: Team Spirit Day (Auburn/Alabama, etc)

Wednesday: West Jasper Day (wear your favorite West Jasper t-shirt)

Thursday: Pajama Day (Don't forget tennis shoes to wear at PE)

Friday: Wacky Tacky Day! (Wear mismatched clothes, socks, etc)

eDay Assignment: DUE BY MAY 13th!!

Kindergarten eDay

Edmodo

1.     http://jaspercityschools.edmodo.com. You can reach a direct link by visiting the Jasper City Schools technology page. Scroll down the page and you will see the Edmodo icon.

2.   Request to join a group. You will be prompted for a group code. The group code for our class is 0uh26n .

3. Mr. Lyle has posted art assignments to Edmodo. The students are to draw a picture (free draw session). If you would like to see Mr. Lyle’s directions his group code is wr63fy. 

Assignments

1.        PE Assignments. Please refer to edmodo, blog, or instructions sheet in eDay folder for specific directions.

2.       Follow the link http://www.pcboe.net/les/elderweb/HARCOURT%20FILES/kindergarten/Literacy%20Center%20Readables!/Partner%20Sentence%20Reading/Lesson%2026.pdf on edmodo or the blog. Partner read with your child. I have made a copy of the Partner Reading and it is in the eDay packet for your convenience.

3.       Complete the Read It, Write It, Glue It, Illustrate It worksheet provided in the eDay folder.

4.       Go to http://more2.starfall.com/m/math/addition-content/load.htm?f&d=demo&n=machine-L1&y=1 or visit edmodo or blog for direct link. Play the addition game. Write down 5 addition facts the game prompted the student to solve and return to the teacher. If you do not access the Internet write down 5 subtraction facts you worked with your child on.

5.       Complete addition/subtraction worksheet provided in the eDay packet. Turn back in with eDay folder.

 Parents- if you are using an iPad or iPhone to complete your eDay assignments you must download an app for the links to work. Go to the App Store and download Puffin Web Browser. It is a FREE app. Open this app and open up Edmodo to access eDay assignments.
